Saving money at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival
For the person trying to save a bit of money on tickets, the time to go is the first week when the shows are trying to get people in the seats while the press is visiting. You may also find cheaper preview events at the end of July. There may also be an opportunity to buy cheaper tickets near the end of the event as was done in 2008, but there is no guarantee. If there is a show that you have to attend, it is best to book when you have the funds available. If you can get a group of more than ten people together, you may qualify for a group discount but this is not available for everything.
